The Needle in the Haystack for a Successful Online Business
It was “Once Upon a Time” …
Ah, Spring! A time for new growth! New beginnings! During this particular Spring season, I decided to get the FREE book (only paid a tiny bit for S & H) that I mentioned in a previous post. Little did I know that this would place me on the amazing journey of being an online entrepreneur!
There’s a fascination that comes with acquiring a new book about online business, as it opens the door to a realm of possibilities and insights that can transform your life!
The allure of having your own online business lies in the ability to succeed through obstacles, inspire you to share your creativity with others, and travel on the journey of being your best self!
Why the Needle?
“Finding the Needle in the Haystack” is a saying that was often mentioned throughout my childhood. Relating it to my online business journey, it means that in a world of millions of ads with the possibility of scams, I found a unique source that really works and includes future opportunities based on integrity!
When you buy a book about succeeding with an online business, you should receive a wealth of honest information. It should be an investment in knowledge – a powerful lead into the current digital age!
Whether you are a new entrepreneur or an experienced business professional, there is always a reason to seek this understanding, this knowledge, to stay ahead in the competitive business world.
Opportunities Presented!
I got this book not knowing what the future would hold for me at that time. Wow! What an inspirational move I made!
The book comes with an audio version, so in the days ahead, I listened to “The Iceberg Effect” on my way to my employment at that time. This was a game changer to my growth mindset about starting my online business!
This was the first time that I would hear my mentor, Dean, speak of his beginnings. The highs and lows as it were. Much of his book was very relatable, and dare I say, coincidental with topics and activities in my life.
Besides the paperback book, the audio version, and some really nice extra bonuses, there was an activity that hit a chord within me. It was the first shocking coincidence!
Finding Your Why!
In Chapter 3 of Dean’s book, “The Iceberg Effect,” He encourages his readers to complete an activity that he calls, “Finding Your Why.” What a coincidence! At the beginning of that same school year, we were encouraged to complete a similar professional development activity.
This activity spoke to my inner being. It challenged me to take a deep dive into my values, passions, and the driving force of what I wanted to do with my life. While the school’s professional development activity offered practical application focused in the context of education, Dean’s book provides a framework for taking this activity in search of understanding the deeper layers of a person’s actions.
With “Finding Your Why,” self-reflection and exploration are the keys to uncovering what truly is motivating you. You take time to reflect on your experiences, identify your values, consider your strengths, identify your passions, etc. When you unveil your details within this activity, you are much better prepared to remain focused and put consistent effort into your online business!
In Conclusion
The excitement about buying a book about online business should extend to the practical application of the knowledge that it contains. Each chapter should be considered a stepping stone, guiding you to implement strategies, and optimizing your online presence with tangible activities and goals.
As you flip through the pages of a book for online business success, remember that you are not just reading, but investing in your potential with amazing possibilities ahead for your entrepreneurial journey.
Finding the right resources that offer integrity is the needle in the haystack for a successful business online.
As you continue your journey, please take time to reflect on your “WHY” for wanting to build your own business! A foundation based on honesty and perseverance is the first stepping stone for your success.

This is a critical exercises that will help give your readers clarity and direction. I encourage all of them to give it a try.

So did you find your Why? I would love to hear about it
Hi Tony!
Yes, I did find my WHY. It’s funny. At the beginning of this exercise, it seems so trivial, but when you repeatedly ask the same question, some serious underlying reasons may reveal themselves. Getting to the heart of the matter strengthens one’s determination to make this a successful journey! I hope you found your WHY as well.
Hi Milissa, The Iceberg Effect truly was an amazing book. I also really enjoyed the chapter on defining your WHY! And I love your analogy of “Finding the Needle in the Haystack,” it does often feel like that sometimes, because only a few succeed, having a WHY is so important. Look forward to your next post!

Great post, Milissa (and a pretty spelling for your name as well!).
Online marketing can indeed feel like finding a needle in a haystack, so a very good analogy indeed. You’ve done a great job at laying out steps to make progress. Thank you!

Cheers

Hi Milissa,
Glad to hear that you are benefiting from the book.
What I like is Dean’s ability to take a very complicated topic and make it extremely simple for anyone to understand.
And like what Russell Brunson said, it is definitely a book you should read more than once.

Hi Milissa,
It’s true, we need to have good discerning when getting information online. There’s plenty of inaccurate/incomplete & bad information out there. But just like you, I came across The Iceberg Effect book and open my eyes on certain things about affiliate marketing that I didn’t know before or I dismissed it as something unimportant. I also have my WHY that gives me the motivation to keep going.

Milissa, great post. You are absolutely right about ‘finding the needle in the haystack’. As you say there are so many scams and false information on the internet. You have found your needle and that is great. Even greater is that you are helping people find their needle too. Well done! Atif
Hi Atif,
Thank you for taking the time to comment on my post! Your feedback is valuable to me as I continue my online business journey! I truly want to inspire others.
All the best,

Congratulations Milissa,
I know how difficult it is to find honest people and a trustworthy business model online.
I tried a few different ones, with many not being worth the money I paid for them. But I think, at the end of the day it got me to the right person- and as you said, opportunities presented.
If I never did all those steps before, probably I wouldn’t be where I am now.
Often you don’t know what you don’t know, so a good book can be a real eye-opener. If you think about it, someone is putting years of experience and knowledge into a book. And you can save that time by reading it over a couple of evenings and getting his lessons from those mistakes. I think this is the best leverage.
Hi Tom,
Thank you for reading and leaving a detailed comment about my post. I appreciate your openness about your online business journey. Let’s keep this inspiration going for others to read and learn!
All the best,
Milissa Neirotti
