The Awesome Power of T-Shirts!
T-shirts are a wonderful thing! Soft, comfortable, wide array of colors – how could you go wrong with a t-shirt? My generation lived in t-shirts! I would buy plain t-shirts and craft them to make them my own.
When I became a mom, I would buy a bulk pack of t-shirts and craft them for my girls.
Beach cover-up? Over-sized crafted t-shirt.
Casual dress? Vibrant fabric sewn to the bottom of a t-shirt.
Need a nap pillow? Stuffed t-shirt!
Get the picture?
During my teaching career, Fridays were called “Dress Down Days” for teachers. Oh yes, there was a time when we would wear jeans to work only on Fridays.
I just had to put my spin on it, and some of those Fridays were Mrs. Neirotti’s inspirational T-shirt days. I made and bought many t-shirts over the years as an additional fun way to boost the mindset of my students!
Little did I know, those t-shirts are now coming back full circle to guide the path of online business success!
Here are just a few of my shirts for inspiration…
What Does MATH Have to Do with It?
Ah yes! My MATH t-shirt. I bought this one.
MATH – Mistakes Allow Thinking to Happen
As mentioned in a previous post, when starting an online business, I made a few mistakes. The choice was to quit or to learn and move on to do better! I encourage you to do the latter!
Just like teaching and learning in a classroom, as a business owner, you will make mistakes. It is inevitable. However, it is in these mistakes that you allow yourself to search for additional information, learn from your mistakes, and grow your business through these experiences. As a business owner, you become, in a sense, a lifetime student.
Believe It – Achieve It
Be open to the thought process in guiding you!
Funny, in the beginning with my online business training, my mentor, Dean Holland, mentioned during one of his inspirational Live sessions that he had a tattoo with a similar saying as to an old homemade t-shirt of mine, Believe It – Achieve It!
I just thought how oddly our paths would cross several years after creating and wearing my inspirational t-shirt for my students. My mentor is using this similar phrase which inspired his own path and the future paths of his clients!
This is a must mindset for students as well as business owners! You need to focus on your goal. Believe in what you want to create or learn. Work with consistent effort and a guiding mentor/teacher to achieve this goal!
You can do this! I would always end my teacher emails with “Keep Learning! Keep Believing!”
Always Try Your Best
Homemade – This is a constant reminder when learning to run a successful business.
Always try your best!
Be aware that there are many distractions on social media with how to acquire a big money-making business with very little time and effort. In the business world, these are referred to as the “Shiny Objects.” People seem to think that you can get rich without putting in the effort.
However, you must give value to your potential clients. You should always put your best foot forward when establishing your business!
It is by putting forth the time and consistent, honest effort that you will eventually achieve a solid foundation for the success of your business!
Responsibility
Another t-shirt that I’d like to share with you today is my house’s t-shirt from work. This one was given to me.
Responsibility.
As a teacher, we are responsible for creating a safe learning environment for our students. We are responsible for our lesson plans, communications with parents, grading, and data analysis to achieve our student growth objectives.
As an online business owner, you will need to be responsible for your yearly/monthly/weekly goals to better your business, keep communications through emails, social media, and websites, analyze your business data to revise your advertising techniques, and make financial decisions about your business.
In Conclusion
T-shirt days are still alive and well! The power of a t-shirt is infinite! T-shirts are a great way of encouraging others or simply letting people know more about your journey in life.
T-shirts also have power to promote your business!
Businesses use the power of wearing and selling t-shirts with their logos, slogans, or taglines all the time!
When I finished the online business course, I received something in the mail. You guessed it! A black t-shirt with “Millionaires in the Making” design.
Let’s continue to inspire each other!
Have you thought about creating a t-shirt for your business?
Please leave a comment. I’d love to hear from you!
All the best!

Hey Milissa, Great idea! I love all of the T-Shirts
I love that you did them to motivate your students, that is very cool.
When I received my Millionaire in the Making T-Shirt it gave me a good feeling, a feeling of confidence and a feeling of accomplishment that I had completed the certification successfully. You are so right there is power in T-Shirts.
In the future when I am at that stage, I would consider incorporating them into my business.
Thanks for the great inspiration!
I hope your week is great so far
I look forward to visiting again to read your future posts.

Hello Melissa, T-shirts are just comfortable billboards, you see them everywhere . I wouldn’t have even thought to make one for affiliate marketing, but why not, great idea. I’m going to work on that , thanks. I look forward to your next blog, have a great day.
Hi Jon!
I like your view about t-shirts being comfortable billboards. T-shirts for affiliate marketers are few and far between, but anything could happen with businesses today!
All the best!

I love “MATH”.
Is this something original that you came up with?
If it is, you should consider posting it on social media if it is part of your traffic strategy.
Maybe you can even combine a T-shirt business with Internet Profits in the future.
Create unique T-shirts, then have a link to your website.
Hi Alan!
I bought the MATH t-shirt, but I am sure that affiliate marketing creative t-shirt designs are within mind’s reach!
I like your idea! Thanks for the support!
All the best!

Milissa,
I love the idea of the t-shirts for your students. What a wonderful way to teach daily lessons, even if it was only on Fridays. I think I will, with your permission, adopt the Believe It, Achieve It saying as I just love that one. Having a business, we must believe in ourselves and our business in order to succeed.
Sherri
Hi Sherri!
I have worn many inspiring t-shirts over the years as well as math-related ones. For instance “Pi Day of the Century” and “Calendar Dates of Pythagorean Theorem.”
I also wore t-shirts to motivate and boost their self-esteem with the upcoming SGO and state testing like, “You Know Your Math, Now Show It!” or “It’s just a Walk in the PARCC.”
Please feel free to use any of my t-shirt ideas. Teacher inspiration is so important!
All the best!

Hi Milissa,
What an interesting blog. I myself live in T-shirts (and singlets or vests in US speak) pretty much all the time now since I retired. I’m wearing my “millionaire in the making” T-shirt as we speak.
Can I make a suggestion regarding your site? The social media links that follow you down the side of the page as you’re reading are OK when viewing it on a laptop. However, when viewing it on a mobile phone, it can be a bit annoying as the symbols cover up the writing to a certain extent. I hope you don’t mind the observation.
Andy
Hi Andy!
It’s nice to hear from you about my blog post and how it resembles your own life of t-shirt wearing!
I appreciate your constructive criticism about the social links. Unfortunately, it is a free plug-in, and it has its limits. I’ve added it to my “To Do” list to search for a more phone-friendly one.
All the best!

Hi Milissa,
I really enjoyed reading your post!
It’s so great how you used to motivate and inspire your students.
So creative using t-shirts with empowering words and phrases!
Now you can do the same with those who read your blog and follow you affiliate journey!
That’s awesome and continuing to wish you success moving forward!
