Great post and fantastic information for anyone who wants to start an Affiliate Marketing company.
I stopped listening to anyone else when my wife told me: “do these people pay our bills? NO – so don’t think that their comments or position is important”.
And that is what I tell those who ask me how to overcome what others may think of their journey.

Oh yes so true!!
When we embark on a new venture, family and friends will try to ‘protect’ us and yes the first thing that happens is self-doubt.

It is awesome that through your resiliency, you have pushed through and earned commissions.

I am still on that journey buckling now and then when family or friends believe they know best for me.

I know that once I can break through, it will become easier. All I can do now is take one step at a time and keep moving.

Oh the naysayers. I had some of those also. However I do agree that we must believe in ourselves and our ability to succeed. We must be willing to learn new skills and be patient with progress as it will happen. Sounds like you are on the right path to succeed. Congratulations!

You are not alone Milissa.
I heard the same, this is not a real business, it’s a scam or pyramid scheme… All came from people who have no clue what affiliate marketing is. It’s true that this little voice in your head can derail anybody from the track, hence the importance of mentoring and self-development. I can recommend a book by Blair Singer “Little Voice Mastery”. My favourite quote from this book is: “If you repeat something often enough, your confidence will naturally build because repetition creates experience.

Negativity, is tuff. It’s bad enough when we allow ourselves to be negative, but even more deflating is when it comes from others around you.

As the negativity meter rises so does self doubt. Then one starts questioning their decision and this ends up in a constant circle that leads to know where.
To break this mold requires the personal development and squashing of self doubt you mentioned.
To start on a better path we must eliminate all things negative and realize that the mind is a powerful tool that must be guarded.

Definitely a great blog post and even greater information.
Like you, I was always thinking about what others would think about my business endeavour in Affiliate Marketing.
Many would tell me that it wouldn’t work – even though they knew less than I did about this than I did at the time.
Putting those fears aside and just going out there and doing it is definitely the best thing to do.

Wow, Milissa, GREAT blog post. You hit the nail on the head. I think self-doubt is probably the worst feeling when trying to do something others do not understand. When family and friends are not supportive, I think it’s about them, not you. I believe their responses stem more from concern and protection because maybe what you’re doing is not something they would ever contemplate. When acquaintances are hostile, they are clueless and do not have your best interest at heart. I do not care what others think because I know I’m heading in the right direction, and if anyone doesn’t like it, it’s too bad. My life is my journey, and if you can’t wish me well and give me a thumbs up, you won’t be a part of my life.

Thanks for that inspring post! I do pledge my unwavering determination and I believe a trasformation for the better is under way. Still, my accountant has made me see the better path – and unfortunately for me – that means bankruptcy will be part of my near future. I’m trying to top up accounts and working on maintaining memberships for another year but very soon I will have NO CREDIT. It is worrysome but still I know I am in the right place and things will work out.
